Q: Can the FEC accommodate persons with disabilities and generally restricted mobility?
A: The FEC is not officially set up to accommodate persons with disabilities.
The FEC is accessed by a gravel-surfaced driveway leading to the building. Individuals with moderately restricted mobility and/or walking aids can be transported to within approximately 10 metres of the building, where there are two shallow steps to get inside the building. Note that the washroom facilities are external to the building.
Individuals with physical disabilities beyond moderate (for subjective consideration) are discouraged from use of the facility for reasons of their own personal safety and comfort.
Q: Can we bring food or can food services be arranged for our group?
A: The Renter is responsible for catering arrangements and food unless otherwise arranged with ALRF. No food preparation cooking is allowed within the FEC unless otherwise authorised by the ALRF representative. All food and other potential bear attractants (including dirty dishes and garbage) must be stored, managed, and disposed of in an appropriate manner, to reduce and avoid attracting and habituating local bears and other wildlife to food sources within and around the FEC. All food must be removed from the FEC and premises upon the Renter’s departure.
Q: Are garbage and recycling removal services provided?
A: No. All garbage and recycling must be removed by the Renter and disposed of appropriately.
